is tht hw it is?? does tht in some way explain hw and why so often i feel tht in circumstances where touch could hav been avoided it wasnt?? Some cynical part answers "no! they were jerks drawing some form of sexual pleasure". but then what abt women? were they too?? doesnt strike the right chord with me....we live such lonely lives, deprived so often love, care that maybe some thought they d find it from a stranger. But wht happens?? its a snub, sometimes subtle sometimes not so, by the likes of the cynic tht resides also in me

its a bit difficult for me to comment, since I dont and have never associated myself with this "touch". I live a lonely life, far off from my near & dear ones.. But does love & care means touch only?? To me, it certainly isn't. Some words, albeit small ones like "take care" or "have a nice day" does show that the person cares for you, and is/will be beside you, and for that two persons dont necessarilly have to be geographically close, let alone touch! I agree to your cynical part and feel that the people who resort to feel others' skin & flesh ONLY have and never will experience what "true and real love" is.
hmmm........strong words dont u think?? something in me says tht cant be true...wht i was trying to talk abt was not touch for a sexual pleasure. i know i draw a lot of pleasure and joy when older woman i hardly know put her hand on my head in blessing, its these pleasures tht often ppl r so deprived r tht maybe could lead them to maintain a contact with a stranger and nothing else (not molesting)....even though i agree tht love can be transmitted through other ways, but surely u rnt gonna deny hw much more powerful and meaningful these words can be if they r supplimented with presence and sometimes even touch. Nd the kinda lives we lead love, care is so often absent and seems to complcated and even scary.
I agree wholeheartedly....I do also sometimes long for that type of touch...
